I once painted an old bike I had in the 80s, and I really with hindsight should have left it alone, much as I was not over keen on the original colour when it was bought new I learnt not to do anything like that again with any bike I had had since.

Great video! I love ASMR bikepacking videos. Listening to the sounds of nature and the bike is pretty nice. I just got a gravel bike this year. Once it cools down a little, I'm going to try to do some bikepacking myself.

Do another 29er. I love all you do, I like the newer bikes too. You should weld some hydraulic brakes like you did in the past. Make a gravel bike too

Yeah, I grew up in the 70's and 80's. I always loved the chopper bikes and the bmx bikes! I bought a new Haro Hoover late last year after I turned 50. It is all 4130 chromoly, double wall rims 2.4 inch tires, etc. I love it, even though it's new school! I put a laid back seat post on it like back in the day. I never liked straight seat post on a bmx! They aren't cool or comfortable at all until you put that sweet laid back seat post on it! I may not be able to ever afford the old bmx bikes I wanted so badly as a boy, but the way it is set up still brings back memories of my good ole days so, so long ago!

I still ride my 1992 MB-4 which I purchased new in Columbia, MO. Great bikes! The OEM MB-1 would have had a Ritchey Stem, low and long, and a very low rise/flat bar I'm glad you didn't put a riser bar on it.. I had installed a RockShox Mag-21 on mine. It now has the original fork reinstalled.

This is great! I’m still looking for a specialized hardrock sport in silver with purple lettering. Size XL. That was my first bike. My brother tore it apart when I left home and my parents tossed it. 😢

I’ve never seen an old bike that still has crank graphics intact. Last owner probably rode it only a handful of times.

One of the best handling bikes I’ve ridden, was a pre-Schwinn Yeti ARC. I’m not entirely sure if I’ve ever laid eyes on a Ellsworth. I’ve known about them though.

Would love to buy a small gt frame from you if you come across one that you don’t mind selling. Hard to find a small gt zaskar frame around here in the Texas gulf coast area.

Ellsworth Truth was so expensive back in the 90s. Never rode one, but did try the first Dare when it came out, and it was the most comfortable ride I’ve ever had until this day.

So happy you picked that up... I used to love the early 2000's Ellsworth frames but they were unobtainium to 15 year old me at the time...

I owned a MB-6 and I'm almost positive that it can with the same Avocet saddle.

The saddle was original, at least in 1990 as that is when I bought mine and it is still in my garage.

I loved those Ellsworth frames myself. I used to ride with a guy who had one he had built up that was absolutely beautiful.

I am restoring my 1986 Nasbar road bike with new brake system, and cold set to 130mm for new wheels and 10 speed derailleur, etc.

that collective is pretty neat. I used to go to the salt palace for the outdoor retailer back in the day, twice a year for about 10 years. was there the tornado hit and damaged 2 of the cranes building the tabernacle. I’d love to see you re-furb the forks. The first 4 Manitou versions are beautiful CNC works of art. SFP has all the the elastomers and seals.

Great build , I have the same Manitou 1 still in working condition ... I ordered 2 different strengh of RST MCU elastomere (middle and hard) , they work and fit realy well!
